Privacy Policy

This is the one privacy policy for trucker.cash, its application and booking pages, and the lead forms we run on Facebook and Instagram. It explains what we collect, why, who receives it, and how to make it stop.

The short version. If you apply, we collect your contact details, where you live, and some health and driving-record answers so we can estimate what coverage would cost. A licensed insurance agent uses them to prepare your quote and talk with you at the time you book. If our agent is not licensed in your state, we pass your application to a licensed agent who is. We do not sell your information. Reply STOP to any text to opt out.

Who we are

TRUCKER.CASH, an insurance marketing brand. We are not an insurance company and we do not issue policies. Insurance is offered through a licensed insurance agent, who is the person that will contact you and who submits any application to an insurance carrier on your behalf. What we collect, and why

Contact details: first and last name, mobile number and email address, so the agent can confirm your appointment and reach you.
Where you live: state and ZIP code. Insurance is licensed state by state, so this decides which licensed agent can help you and which time zone your appointment is shown in.
About you: date of birth, sex at birth, height and weight. Life insurance is priced on age and sex, and height and weight are part of every carrier's health review.
Health and record answers: whether and when you last used nicotine, tobacco or vape products; whether a doctor has told you that you have heart disease, a stroke, diabetes or cancer (other than skin cancer); whether and when you had a DUI or license suspension; whether you have a felony conviction; and whether and when you had drug or alcohol treatment. We use these only to estimate the health class you might qualify for and to prepare your quote. They are yes or no answers; we do not ask for medical records.
What you want: who the policy would protect, what you want it to do, a monthly budget range, the coverage amount and the type of policy.
Your appointment: the time you book and how you want to meet (phone call, FaceTime or a video link).
How you got here: the ad, campaign and click that brought you, including Meta's click identifier (fbclid) and any utm_ tags in the link.
Your consent record: the exact wording of the permission you agreed to, and the date and time you agreed. We keep this so we can show what you were shown.
Basic technical data: a one-way scrambled form of your IP address (used to stop automated abuse of the form), and browser and device type.

The estimate you see is generated from your answers. It is not a quote, an offer of coverage or an underwriting decision. The final rate is set by the insurance carrier's underwriting.

If you submit through a Facebook or Instagram lead form, some fields arrive pre-filled by Meta from your profile. You can edit them before submitting.

Advertising and measurement

This site uses the Meta Pixel (ID 927323843222699) to measure ad performance and to record that an application was submitted or an appointment was booked. We do not send your health answers or your estimate to Meta. Meta may use what it receives to show you ads and, subject to your Meta settings, to build advertising audiences. Meta's handling of that data is governed by its own Privacy Policy.

You can limit this through your Meta ad preferences and your browser or device settings.

Bot protection

The application step uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a person, not an automated script, is submitting it. That stops bots from using our form to send text messages to numbers that never asked for them. Turnstile looks at signals from your browser and device during the check, does not set advertising cookies, and Cloudflare does not use the data to target ads. Cloudflare's handling of it is described in its Turnstile privacy addendum. We also limit how many bookings and texts any one number or connection can trigger.

How we use it

To estimate your health class and, where we have one, a price range.
To book, confirm and remind you of your appointment, by text and email.
To text you a one-time code that confirms the mobile number is yours. We store only a scrambled form of the code, and it expires in 10 minutes.
To contact you about life insurance, by phone, text and email.
To prepare quotes and, if you decide to apply, to submit an application to a carrier.
To keep a record of your consent and of our contact with you.
To measure which ads produce genuine enquiries.
To keep the form from being abused by automated scripts.

Calls, texts and how to stop them

We only call or text you if you gave express written consent by checking the consent box on a form. That consent is not a condition of purchase: you can ask for a quote without agreeing to it.

Texts: reply STOP to any message.
Calls: tell the agent to place you on our do-not-call list, or email us.
Email: use the unsubscribe link, or email us.

Message and data rates may apply. Opting out of marketing does not stop messages about a policy you already hold.

Who we share it with

The licensed insurance agent who works your application.
A licensed agent in your state, if ours is not licensed there. Insurance can only be sold by an agent licensed where you live. If the TRUCKER.CASH agent is not licensed in your state, we share your application, including your answers and your consent record, with a licensed insurance agent in your state so they can contact you and quote. You agreed to this in the consent box, and they are bound by the same opt-out.
Insurance carriers, only if you choose to apply, and only what the application requires.
Service providers that run our systems on our instructions: hosting, database, our lead management system, calendar, email, text messaging and telephony.
Where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep application, appointment and consent records for as long as needed to run our business and to meet insurance and telemarketing record-keeping obligations, which in some states means several years. You can ask us to delete your information sooner, as described below.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what we hold about you, get a copy, correct it, delete it, or opt out of certain uses. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas and other states with privacy laws have these rights, and some give health information extra protection. We will not treat you differently for exercising them.

Security

Information is transmitted over encrypted connections and held in access-controlled systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

This site is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be posted on this page.
